Senior Manager - Merchant Pricing - (Riverwoods, IL)

This position is responsible for designing and implementation industry-leading pricing solutions to support company pricing strategies and initiatives. This responsibility would include understanding competitors' standards and best practices defining merchant pricing business requirements, managing the implementation of Merchant pricing projects.

This position is also responsible for developing and managing the performance analysis of pricing initiatives. This role requires the ability to take large amounts of multi-faceted data (internal and competitive) and to create insightful and meaningful information to be used in business decision-making by senior management. This high exposure position has regular contact with senior management and manages exempt employees.
Develop, manage and execute the process of defining Merchant pricing system requirements and the implementation of Merchant pricing systems/projects. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve pricing systems and processes to maintain competitiveness within the industry.

Provides functional management the analysis of short and long term business requirements and recommends innovation, which anticipates the future impact of changing business requirements.

Identifies opportunities to improve pricing analytics and processes and manage implementation of improvements.

Researches competitors' information an best practices and leverage this research with internal information to create a competitive advantage for company.

Manages the relationship with business technology partners and acts as a liaison between Pricing and business technology teams.

Lead, manage, and develop exempt professional and successfully lead cross-functional teams.

  • 8 years industry work experience in systems analysis/design, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Project Management experience in a high profile, deadline driven environment. Must be able to manage, organize, and coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Requires excellent communication and analytical skills, strong judgment skills and the ability to work effectively with senior management, business clients, BT management, and staffs.
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos) and experience creating SQL queries to extract data from a data warehouse is required.

2. Manager - Pricing Profitability - (Riverwoods, IL)

This position is responsible for implementing pricing solutions to support company Network Acquirer pricing strategies and other initiatives. This responsibility would include defining pricing business requirements, managing cross-functional teams(s) including internal departments (Sales, Operations, Business Technology), understanding competitors' standards and best practices and managing the implementation of the Acquirer Pricing model as well as other pricing projects.

This high exposure position has regular contact with senior management and manages exempt employees.

  1. Develop, manage and execute the process of defining pricing system requirements for Merchant Acquirer Acceptance. Create and execute user acceptance testing of these requirements. Proactively identify opportunities to improve pricing systems and processes to maintain competitiveness within the industry.
  2. Manage the implementation of the Acquirer Pricing Model. This includes representing the Pricing department in acquirer and internal meetings, creating and maintaining Acquirer documents, participating in certification of acquirers and managing the Acquirers' relationship with Network Pricing.
  3. Research competitors' information and best practices and leverage this research with internal information to create a competitive advantage for company.
  4. Responsible for analyzing the performance of Acquirer pricing initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve pricing analytics and processes and manage implementation of improvements.
  5. Professionally complete special projects as assigned and participate in other pricing related initiatives.
  6. Lead, manage and develop exempt professionals and successfully lead cross-functional teams.
  • 5 - 7 years industry work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management experience in a high profile, deadline driven environment. Must be able to manage, organize and coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Requires excellent communication and analytical skills, strong judgment skills and the ability to work effectively with senior management, business clients, Business Technology management and staffs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos). Experience creating SQL queries to extract data from a data warehouse is preferred.

3.Underwriter/Credit Analyst - (Chicago Loop, IL)

In conjunction with leading airline frequent flyer programs, club memberships, and other affinity organizations, our client provides over three million members with incentives, including airline miles, reward program points, and Cashback Rewards(SM) savings.

We are currently looking for two experienced underwriters to join the Credit team and help make membership decisions based upon credit worthiness. Experience working with credit bureaus, D & B information, Fair Isaac reporting, cash flow analysis and income statement review desired. Strong communication skills a huge plus!
